Nicklaus Children’s Hospital

The Challenge

Nicklaus Children’s Hospital reached out to DSignage in search of a more enjoyable wayfinding experience for their patients and visitors. The IT department had done research into the idea but noticed wayfinding solutions were generally very bland, lacking good UI/UX designs making it confusing for users.

The Solution

DSignage worked hand-in-hand with the NCH Team to design and create an IOS-style interface where users intuitively understand how to navigate and find directions to desired locations. We also sprinkled a little extra flavor into the Info Stations/wayfinding displays by integrating them with existing legacy systems for movie theater times, food menus, donor recognition and much more!

The Outcome

DSignage located indoor Info Stations/wayfinding displays in building lobbies as well and interactive wayfinding display stations in outdoor garages. Social Robots were also employed in the project allowing kids to play games, dance and turn selfies into avatars while parents find directions and local dining options. Social Robots have plenty of room to grow as motion sensor technology and voice recognition can be added and configured to recognize and guide guests to their destinations!
